Air cooled water chiller


The air-cooled water chiller works on the basis of a refrigeration cycle, utilising a compressor, condenser, evaporator and expansion device to maintain a set water temperature.


Principle of operation


  • The compressor compresses the refrigerant, raising its temperature.

  • In the condenser, the hot gas is cooled by air, turning it into a liquid.

  • In the expansion unit, the pressure is reduced and the refrigerant turns into cold vapour.

  • In the evaporator, the vapour absorbs heat from the water, cooling it.

  • The process repeats, keeping the water temperature stable.
